The small RV smoke detectors should do just fine with good double sided tape. There may be a problem adhering to the plastic though.

no that wasn't my referral. as far as where to mount the CO detector, advice is given for all over. if it were me I would mount it as close to my bed at my head height as I could. I would do this because CO basically puts you to sleep and I want that alarm to wake me up. highdesertranger
