Hey all, I'm new here and this is my first question:)

I have a Luggable Loo toilet seat cover and I'm looking for a bucket that is much smaller than a 5 gallon but still has the same diameter. I took a look at home depot and they have smaller 2 gallon buckets but the seat doesn't fit. I searched online and couldn't find anything. I'm going to be using it in a Subaru Forester so a 5 gallon bucket is out of the question. Anyone find a solution for this? Thanks!

Smallest bucket that will fit a Luggable Loo is 4 gal.  It is ~ 11 inches high.  Try bakeries; they get frosting and fillings in 4, 5, and 6 gallon buckets and just throw them away when empty.

Also try organic food co-ops, etc, as they get stuff in the smaller buckets, too.

Walmart is now selling the 3.5 gallon buckets that fit the same lid as the 5 gallon.

Mine had laundry detergent. It's about 3 to 4 gallons and fits the standard luggable loo toilet seat or 5 gallon bucket lid.

Keep looking and you'll find one.

Thank you! I'll check some of those out!
I'm near Ft Rucker AL and have a few smaller food grade buckets that might work.  I need to check it out at Lowes or Walmart.  If the L. Loo fits you're welcome to it if your're near.  Also just FYI Walmart bakery dept. was selling bucket with lids, food grade for $1.  Rectangular ones stack well without wasted space and are good for storage.

That's sweet of you! But I'm in the Northeast right now:) Walmart seems like the place to go

Home Depot sells the 3.5 gallon bucket with a standard size lid opening.

It's in the paint department.

I brought my toilet seat with me :) to the Home Depot paint department and couldn't find a smaller bucket that fit so I asked an employee and she said they didn't have one with the same diameter as the 5 gallon. It's probably just my local store though because there were lots of sizes and it seemed like something they should carry. I'll find one!

I use a 2 gallon bucket, without a seat, as a potty and a trash can. The smaller opening of the 2 gallon bucket keeps me from falling in, and alleviates the need for a seat.

I use standard 8 gallon trash bags. The bags allow for lots of draping over the sides of the bucket as sort of a safety feature.

When I need to go, I remove the trash bag, and make sure I have two bags still inside the bucket in case of leakage (which has not happened yet). When I’m finished my job, there’s enough of the waste bag left to tie a knot after squeezing out most of the air. Then I put the plastic waste bag in a brown paper lunch bag as camouflage. I take it out of the wagon immediately and dispose of it.

This will not work well if you pee while pooping. Your butt may vary.

2 gal bucket with pipe foam on rim - then double bagged in my Prius

Good idea! I would do it if I hadn't already got the luggable loo seat. I'll keep this in mind if I find my bucket is too big for the space.

I didn't seem to have luck finding a 3.5 gallon bucket in Walmart or Home Depot. And I tried 2 different Walmarts and 2 different Home Depots that were closest to me. It seemed like Home Depot doesn't even have the spot for it on the shelf (floor) anymore when I asked an employee. But maybe it's just my local stores. I ended up finding one on Amazon that works perfectly although I didn't want to spend $10 on a bucket. Thanks everyone for your help!

Oh boy, I have to find one of those for my minivan. Can just see it now, dragging my Lug Loo seat into HD paint dept. Entertaining for employees.

I already have the gamma lids that seal. Just need the smaller size buckets, one for air tight seal for the loaded bags until dump time, and one for the Loo activities.

The sealed bucket will sit inside the other until time for use. :sleepy:
