Chloe is a 10 year old Chocolate Lab and Bodie is an eleven your old Golden Retriever.  Both are rescues ....... meaning both rescued me (I truly NEEDED them then and now) when I picked them up at a home where they were no longer wanted.

Those labs are beautiful. I hope they’re not offended but they look like me, they need less to eat and more exercise with that tennis ball. God bless the nomads and their pets.

Labs tend to gain weight. It’s rare to see a slim one. Just the breed. I have a pocket pit who weighs 60 lbs and she’s a mini. After major abdominal surgery she lost about 4-5 lbs and her ribs almost showed but she still had a massive chest and always looks fat. She has a 21 inch neck.
It could be all that fur. I’ve had dogs who looked fat and when they got wet were skinny. Because I allowed a starved dog to get fat I had to put him down because he was in excruciating joint pain for several reasons and the weight pushed him over the edge. Once he learned about food I couldn’t put him on a diet he went crazy (was about 8 went I got him) so it’s just a fine line. I will never allow another dog to get fat but once they are older it’s hard.

Kira is my truck guard dog. I witness three guys about to smash my window until she started doing her stuff. I came out as the middle one was putting a crowbar under his jacket as the three of them turned around in unison.

I give up. Haha... finally get a picture to load and it’s upside down. Can ya all just stand on your heads?

Sorry I was commenting on the last two doggos. Both adorbs.

I like the Brendl too but was confused until I read you said it’s upside down. I have a friend that raises purebred Shepherd’s she just had a major litter and I commented how I’d like to have a companion dog and even though he gets 1500 for these babies he offered me to just take one with me. I almost did. I’ve had two purebred Shepherd’s before and love them. The problem is my goal for travel is to go to nature sites and take pictures and spend lots of times at those kind of places. Can’t take a dog into a nature center and expect to get bird pictures. And it would not be fair to doggy to leave her in the van. So I put it off for the dogs sake but I think about it more and more. God bless the nomads and their pets.

20200930_093614.jpgThis is Kujo and Dora. They look cute but they're not always friendly towards strangers which is something we're working to rectify but they're stubborn.

This is daisy.. 90#'s of very soft fur.. a cross with a Chow was what I was told... adopted at 5yo.. now 11.5... loves people.. like a golden, leans right on you. urns into the Tasmanian devil when she sees another dog of any size... PTSD triggered.. a right aggressive bitch... so we have to avoid other dogs.. if I can see the dog first and we are in the car I can head off the snap trigger and then she isn't as deep into the state...  and she gets seizures on no set time frame or for no discernible cause...

I just got an ORANGE harness and leash for her, the international color to signal that Daisy is not good with other dogs... did you know it was Orange? Do you know any of the other color codes?  I had it wrong and then found so many more.. like blue is for a service dog.... I guess I should have a blue vest as I am Daisy's service person for her seizures...   ;)
