     We landed in Washington state about 3 weeks ago... finally got a job today.  The state is beautiful, but if you generate your power by solar... go somewhere else!  This is day 4 of overcast and no sun. very annoyed!

I was in Seattle for 3 months. I was told that on a clear day you can see Mt. Rainier. I never got to see it.

Our weather is about the same as Seattle which is about 30 miles west of us.  We have some solar panels on our barn/garage.  I've included a chart that shows our power generation pattern for last year.  As you can see, we produced most in June.  In 2013 and 2014, July beat out June.  So, it'll get better for you in the coming months.



If I remember correctly, you are in Port Angeles. Have you considered moving the 17 miles east to Sequim? There's a rain shadow there produced by Mt. Olympus (Olympic NP), thus, more hours of sunshine.

The winters here can also be a coin toss...Some times wet and rainy, sometimes (On the rare day) 7" of snow...Once in awhile a "Silver Thaw" (Ice storm) 

But summer is coming, hold on....Oh and what is the job and where? I work at 164th and Mill Plain (Commerce Center)

yeah, we've had conversations on that song including the meaning of bottom dollar.... why not top dollar or one somewhere in the middle?

Safeway. Needed a trip to WorkSource and they were very nice and helped me buy the clothes needed to work and Safeway.  A few weeks and I should be fully operational again....

Washington and Colorado have some weather in common. "Welcome to Springtime in Colorado, last year it was on June 16th". Today we currently have a winter storm watch above 11,000 feet and Pikes Peak looked beautiful when the sun peaked out for a bit and it was capped with fresh snow.

Me think that if you installed an MPPT controller you will pick up power regardless of the weather. That's what I do.

I got a job as courtasy clerk at Safeway.  So far working my ass off,  but only for 20 hours a week, which I am told is pretty good for a new employee.  they had promised me 30 hours to start... so no idea what's going to happen time wise.
