Yea, I have a few of those, tho I didn’t know what they were when I found them.

I’m on a quest to find a pudding stone, but haven’t had any luck yet.
Where do you find pudding stones in Michigan?
Puddingstones - DRUMMOND ISLAND TOURISM ASSOCATION

They can be found along the shores of Drummond in our forests and anywhere earth has been turned. Drummond is known as the Gem of the Huron and at the center of her crown is the Puddingstone.

I hope the OP tolerates this digression from seashells, we will try to be brief. ☺️

Well, I don’t know where you find pudding stones, because I have yet to find one in spite of diligent efforts.

I have seen turned fields and been tempted to go searching in them, but have restrained myself. 😅

I have been to Drummond Island, where items made from pudding stones are a hot commodity, so it may be that they are rapidly picked up as soon as turned earth or whatever exposes them.

I did see one peeking out of the ground a couple of years ago, but it was on private property so I of course did not dig it up nor even try to see how big it was.

I think they are gorgeous, and would love to find one.

Maybe this year.

I’m back in Florida for probably most of the next 6 months and since I spent most of my day time strolling or parked on near a beach I’ll be looking out for spectacular seashells 🐚 or whatever interesting stuff the waves wash up.

My seashell collection is about maxed out, tho, but if I find something that I think is extraordinary, special or exceptional I’ll post it here.

I wonder if there will be more 'stuff' on the beaches because of all the storm activity or will it be less. Let us know what you find. I always love beach combing. I still have my bottles with barnacles and Chinese writing on them. They are huge and I found them really early one morning on an Oregon beach.... Found an old IV bottle once it was still about 1/8 full of some kind of liquid. Mostly though I find little shells. And of course beer bottles and lots of plastic beach toys. I know parents leave them on the steps down to the beach for other kidos to use but mostly they just get lost in the sand.
