I am still looking for my Class B. I have found a few that were perfect but slip through my hands. I have buying anxiety that I'm going to make the wrong choice. So the next time I see one I need to act fast! I have my RV checklist of questions to ask and inspect for but I how does one go about finding a reputable mechanic? Especially when I am looking all across N. America for the right van for me and my budget? (there are hardly any Class B's in my area)

Should you just take it to the nearest Camping World w/ repair onsite? Or do you just take it to any repair shop and have them look at the engine and leave you to inspect the RV functions? And does anyone know the going rate for inspections?

Looks like I either need to gear up and save more money for an inspection and possible plane ticket. Should I ask the seller to send it to the Repair shop of my choice to inspect before I buy a plane ticket or get on a long road trip? What's the typical protocol here? .... if there is one

Thanks all!

You may want to give some thought to buying a high top van and building your own, with THE floor plan you want.

Instead of built ins, my van has move ins, and I have been very happy with it.

Camping World is one of the most expensive  places you could go.

Does that apply to their gear as well? I need a hose to hook up a propane stove to a 30lb bottle. The only place I can think of around here to get one is camping world, especially since I don't know the actual name of that hose.

Do you mean a portable propane stove or a built in house stove. Ace hardware or Home Depot should have both.

If you want the portable stove one Walmart will have it with the camping stuff.

Yes, everything costs more at Camping World unless you get it on sale.

Yeah, the portable 2 burner stove. Runs off of the green bottle, but I prefer to use the big bottle instead. It has to be cheaper.
