A few random thoughts on this subject:

I feel no need to attend for the seminars.  After 4 years of reading damn near every thread - and blog post - here, I feel like I already know it all.

There are certainly people here I would enjoy meeting up with in person, but they are people I've gotten to know online here, not total strangers.  I'm somewhat non-plussed with Almost There's report that about 80% of the people attending responded with "Huh?  What?" when asked for their forum handle.

I really have no desire to be part of a Cecile B. DeMille's production - aka "A Cast of Thousands!"

Just listened to a couple of women rant about the RTR music deal. They sounded like a couple of nut cases attacking the person who was playing music. How dare anyone trying to have fun with friends! They should have known Bob would disapprove.
Can't say I would want to be associated with those two. Starting at about 4:10  

If I had to live with a person with that screeching voice I would just put a bullet in my brain. Many of the videos seem to show self-righteous, indignant people. Not any I recognize from this forum.

Hype. I've been here the whole time close to the big fire. I guess I missed all the drama.
Some people don't want to see someone successful. By hyping the event, and it's failures, it makes those who like drama feel good about themselves.
To tell you the truth, the music was loud and monotonous. I could tune it out, a lot of people, it bothered more. Last year others had the opportunity to play and there were breaks in the music so conversation could be heard.

I have never been a big youtube follower but in tuning in daily to Bob's vlog, I found a lot of nomad vloggers and subcribed to show support.  It slays me on how many talk love and kindness and freedom and how they will delete negative comments---and they do---only to allow their followers to bully and ridicule others---it's as if these people have become the self-appointed henchmen with the vlogger's blessing.  I found it to be a strange and more often then not, ugly world.  Thank Zeus for the unsubcribe button, right?

My unsolicited advice to vloggers...keep your followers in line.  Delete their nasty comments even when it is defending you.  These are your sacred spaces and you set the tone.  Ugly comments even in your favor are still ugly comments.  

I really enjoy many of your vlogs.

In watching Bob's latest on Youtube, I look at the titles in the "same category", and it is the clickbait titles that get the hits.  People selling their souls for a penny a click.  Spouting any garbage that they think the watcher wants to hear, rather than reality

It reminded me of the recent election news coverage and made me sick.   That is why I only watched Bob, and others that I know are being real 

I loved the BURNING VAN coverage.  It proves that a bunch of sober people can carry a tune.     It made me miss you all.

I want to thank Bob Wells for ALL HE DOES for women and those in real need.  I just watched his You Tube on why he started the RTR's.  I was at both the 2016 RTR and this year's in 2017.  The crowds were large this year and I applaud Bob for how he handled the FEW people who were inconsiderate. Hats off to him as I don't think i would have done so well.  

I have been a nomad for a few years on very minimal money due to a health issue and I can attest that Bob's book, which is what I started with, and the support of others at the RTR, thru the forum, has been very helpful.  I met two ladies, at the 2017 RTR, in their 50's that their long term 30+ or more marriage just hit the skids.  Women are indeed left to live on little as they were the homemakers and not the breadwinners.  Although I would like to be in a loving relationship with a man who loves and appreciates me, it has not happened and I have had to survive on $500 to $800 per month for a couple years.  Bob has ALWAYS been kind and considerate of everyone he meets and his heart is truly into helping those less fortunate.  

Please don't put Bob and his many followers who care in a bad light.

Thank you...everyone. I was concerned about what I was hearing...but, put in the perspective of the complainers and drama queens of the utube ... well, I feel a lot better about it all.

I am not a drama type. So, knowing it is t crowded means I can still "be there" while not being right in it. (If that is the way it is).

I do want to come to the RTR next year. I'll be the one walking around looking over her shoulder with the shocked look of a deer in headlights.

Had a great time at the RTR, it was our first time. Met so many great people and made new friendships... I hadn't experienced any of the nonsense people have been talking about... It was a nice, respectful, quite event for being so many people. As others said the RTR isn't for everyone, but I would greatly recommend it, and I'm glad bob is gonna keep them going.

:huh:   Weeeeell I watched a lot of the You Tube B.S.  I had been thinking seriously about the 2018 RTR and was sad that I missed this one

All the reported "uproar" made me really stop and think........I worked years as a young {underaged } bartender in Beer Joints all over Dallas TX and points south to Rockport.  Even at 21ys & pregnant I worked by myself on the 10pm to 6am shift in a 24hr gas station in West Dallas and bartended in East Dallas. I relocated & cooked overnight in a cafe in Ozark Al for 2ys.  I was there for the Harley running into the end of the building........with the place packed a D.H. outside shooting in thru a floor to ceiling glass wall........a strong arm hit to the chest by a drunk...........another drunken D.H. standing in the parking lot during a beautiful Sunday sunrise telling me what he truly thought of me and he was gonna stomp my butt.............he might have if'en he'd ever come out from behind his VW door.

   Sooooooooo I reckon I can live thru a RTR.....If I have a problem I'll tell Queenie   "Eat Um Up"
