Roof mounted + suitcase solar wiring

Say I wanted 200w roof-mounted and a 200w freestanding suitcase that I could plug and play (perhaps with sidewall outlets installed). Would both arrays go through the same charge controller? And if so, how? Would I need some kind of MC4 splitter?

you could do it either way. you could use one controller for both array's or use 2 controllers.

yes they make MC4 combiners. however most people use another type of connect for portable panels because they find that MC4 are difficult to plug and unplug.

Anderson Power Poles are a good choice for higher amps. SAE connectors are another option for low amps.
