Just ran across this, I'm not sure if this has been posted here. If so, feel free to delete the thread, Mr Moderator!

I have a thing for self contained, modular systems that are easily moved from one vehicle to another, for whatever reason. Or, even moved around the same vehicle for a change in floorplans...

And for those with simpler needs, or less available space:

First in the fridge, then on the stove, then in you!

An interesting concept, but, if that's transported on the outside of a vehicle via the receiver hitch, I'm not sure just how practical it is.  I doubt that that wood is going to stand up to too many heavy rainstorms.

Ditto.  It wil need a weather-proof cover.  Also that inverter is prone to be rained on - that could cause problems.....
And his estimate of weight, I am betting the whole shebang is far heavier than he estimates.  He said "300 lbs".  I'd put it much closer to 500lbs, especially once the water bottles (GLASS.....!?) are filled.  Wood is heavy too.  That will be a lot of weight to hang off the rear of a truck.

I had to laugh about the glass water tanks. he said he doesn't like drinking out of plastic, but the whole system is plastic except for the tanks. wood can be seal with fiberglass resin to be made water proof like a boat or surfboard. what I would be concerned about is dust if traveling on unpaved roads. that thing would get inundated with dust on the back of a vehicle. highdesertranger

Perusing the site, I see he moved it inside the Tahoe. I would never consider having a similar unit out in the elements.

Weight would definitely worthy of serious consideration, both of the unit alone and how it may affect vehicle loading and balance.

Thought it may spark an idea for someone out there...
