Anybody here rinse their meter out between cells when testing a battery?I've tried it rinsing and not rinsing and can't tell any difference.Or at least not enough to worry about.
 
You are correct. rinsing will do little for you. The device measures the difference in weight between the liquid and float, so a little wetness on the sides from a previous cell will matter very little. the heavier the liquid is the higher the bulb will float.
 
Rinsing can take a lot of time when there are 14 batteries to test.
 
You could pull some liquid up from the cell then discharge it back and pull the sample you wish to check. That is only necessary if using a quality accurate, hydrometer. Other wise, not enough difference to matter.
