Registering RV in Domicile State

I am about to purchase a class-c and would like to register and insure it in my domicile state (most likely texas) but I live in Massachusetts.  Is there a way to do that without have to first register it in MA?

To be clear you're saying that I can get a Vermont registration without living there?  Or did you mean that I could register my rig in Texas (which is what I want) from VT?

You'll need an address to register to. Some states (like Arizona) don't require it to be an in-state address. Also, insurance companies will need an address. Location affects the rates they charge and whether they're licensed to provide insurance in that state.

It gets complicated. The way I see it, in situations like yours (which was the same as mine, only with the states being NC and SD) I think sometimes you just need to bite the financial bullet. Living free has some up-front costs.

I don't see anyway to do that. You'll need to have the RV in TX to register it for one, and you'll need a TX address (mail service like Escapees could provide that) set up to buy insurance in TX, and I suspect you'll need to produce a TX DL. In KS, we are required to pay sales tax on the RV at the dealer, and they set up the paperwork for the registration/title.

Not sure if all details are relevant for you, but for sure you don't need to be in VT.

Then when you're all set up in your domicile state, very easy to transfer tge registration.
