I was employed for 24 years at the Florida Department of Education. You'd be surprised how many employees there home school their kids, knowing the shortfalls and problems of the state/county education systems. The kids always turned out far better on the average than 'system schooled' kids. Fewer distractions and a better adherence to the core principles of education, versus 'indoctrination'.
