Hi folks,
I am planning a build and one of the things I worry about is being safely set up for my remote job, which requires fast internet. One challenge there is that there are apps and content I can only access by IP recognition and every time my IP address changes I have to go through this process of updating it in a utility first, which takes then up to 24 hrs to update across the board and this pretty much leaves me a sitting duck.
The last time I camped off-grid, this presented a big challenge for me and did not make me look very good to the bosses, for obvious reasons.
I am looking for recommendations on the latest and greatest and most reliable solution for kick *** internet connection that will allow me to have a dedicated IP address - does that even exist?
Thank you in advance!

Do a search for 'Dedicated IP VPN'. Most VPN's (Virtual Private Networks) provide dynamic IP addresses for privacy. There are VPN's that provide fixed IP addresses as an option.

You setup a VPN account and install the software. Now any internet communication is encrypted and routed through the VPN to your site and results are sent back again through the VPN and encrypted to your computer. Anybody using public WIFI should probably be using a VPN unless you are doing only mundane things (No banking, email, logging into accounts, etc.).

Here's a link to an article on some options: https://www.comparitech.com/blog/vpn-privacy/vpn-dedicated-ip-static-ip/
As the article points out NordVPN is a very popular choice.

I purchased a Verizon JetPack mobile hotspot, has it's own IP address and unique and user changeable password.
I'm on my third version over 6 years and I have no complaints.
A WeBoost will help with connection in some area's but regardless, you need a decent connection to start with, The more urban the less signal strength for everyone.

hope this helps.
