The first step in minimizing rattle from dishes, pot & pans, etc is to minimize the number of dishes, pot & pans, etc.

I have a travel trailer, what I can't hear does not bother me ;)

Rattles and clanking drive me absolutely nutty! I use large squares of that foam waffle/bb's shelf liner between pots and pans. It also keeps non-stick coatings from chafing. I put a towel between the stovetop and the cover. I use cheap foam coozies over wine glasses to protect and keep them from clinking. Coffee mugs are hung with small carabiners inside a cabinet and free to swing however they may without hitting each other. I was surprised to find my microwave was the worst offender for tin rattles. Took a while to isolate all the noises by driving down the road with wife poking around in the back. I removed and disassembled my microwave, and used stick-on sound deadener throughout the inside to finally kill all the tin vibrations. Works real good now but the turntable would still rattle so for traveling I now stuff a spare pillow above some pans I store in the microwave, and that finally took care of it. It took a while to find everything but really calmed things down, including my stress level...
