Depending on what state you are in, you can sometimes (with a LOT of paperwork) expunge that from your record. Not always, and it depends a lot on the crime and the state. But it might be worth looking into.<br /><br />Also, lots of background checks only look the past 10 years. But lots of job applications ask 'have you ever been convicted of a felony?' they are not asking for a time frame, but EVER. and that question is the horrible one. Myself, I've never been convicted of a felony, but I've had friends and family that have.<br /><br />I wish you lots of luck and success!
