What in tarnation does bulk cargo handling have to do with pros and cons of living out west???
And I was wondering the same about shingles. I fear this thread went off the rails months ago. :)

Well, if you're shipping shingles using a heavy cargo handler, it matters. Those roofs aren't going to shingle themselves.

Pros of living out west:
Weather
Scenery
Lots of people if you're a people person

Cons of living out west:
Lots of people if you're not a people person

Lots of people depending on where out west you are. Much of the west is wild and sparsely populated to the point where you wouldn't see another person for months if that's what you want.

I like camping in the Western states. Not every single area is suitable for camping but there is a truly vast amount of land that is.

Quit wondering about it, just get out there and do it!

How big is the “western USA”? If you can’t find a lot of great places to camp you just aren’t trying.
