For work I am going to be in the Portland area for a week, I just need a little RV park to plug in my new toy. Something safe (I haven't stayed in an RV park yet, but the ones around my home are filled with people who don't lend a safe feeling). Looking for about 35 a night with an electrical hook up. I found a few on google, but that doesn't tell me if they are clean, quite and safe. Thanks!

Stop at Camping World and get a Good Sam catalog. They have ratings. Also, try the online reviews.

When we get into a new area, and want to be able to hook up, then we often check out KOA's. (Kampgrounds of America.)

We've stayed at quite a bunch of 'em throughout the years. Most have been just fine, but we have had a few bizarre incidents along the way too. :p

One of the best resources I've found for campgrounds & RV parks is http://localpages.us It seems to have many obscure places which I don't find anywhere else.

We have found that KOA's tend to run on the high end of any particular area. We have stayed in them when we don't know an area and found that they generally offer reliable good quality, tho.

I actually live in Portland, and you should check out this place:

It's about 25 minutes west of downtown Portland in a nice rural area, with a river and several public beaches nearby(also, this time of year there are a ton of produce markets and u-pick nearby). I live near there now, and I've actually been considering moving to this park.
