I have CFS and a a few other chronic conditions. Life is more simple and less stressful, on the road, after one gets the wrinkles ironed out.

I've been back in a house for two years. My health has deteriorated drastically. I'll be back on the road in October. Can't wait to feel like me, again.

I have severe Sjogren's and the fatigue is apparently quite similar to that which comes with Chronic Fatigue as well as a laundry list of other debilitating symptoms. I am taking early retirement and doing this now because I don't know how long I will have to do it. But, I have a spouse who will be driving when I can't. I think you need to make sure to have a plan for when the exhaustion hits. It would be incredibly dangerous to drive. I know that I can't stay awake when it hits no matter how hard I try. I would suggest getting out and trying for a few weeks before comitting.

You could do like I did with a car and tent, a rooftop carrier full of camping stuff and the desire for adventure, that's when I drove from central NY to my first RTR. I kept looking ahead, my headlights always looking west, and when i crossed the Missisippi River in St Louis, I just knew greater things were to come.

I do not regret my decision to just pick up and go, I have learned much.

You, my friend, have the same courage and desire as the many other 1st timers who thought the same thing Im sure.

I think i also have CFS....my dr. appointment is Dec 9th
This started with me about a month ago...
