Too bad that Brian (B&C) is not at Pirate Camp this fall. He was always a big help when I was doing tech stuff.

ONE laptop used for making SOUP................

Replacement computer.....a re-newed unit fails the battery test........new battery and now a new charger coming

Next they want to replace this computer (loaded with my DATA)
At least they are willing to replace stuff. Too bad about the personal data removal process.

When you put a brand new battery into a laptop and plug in the charger cord you should be able to tell within a half hour if there is a OK amount of charge going into the battery. It will take a few hours to reach a 100% charge but you can tell if it is actually charging up or loosing power.

Heads up alert for tomorrow at the pavilion!!!!

NO....................Like I said earlier............NO to Van Aid for ME this time

Computer's Back !........................Still no "power" tho

You should be able to use the laptop with it plugged in, regardless of battery condition.

The battery on my laptop gave up the ghost months ago, will not charge no matter what and I'm only able to use it when it's plugged into the inverter. That and the other issues it has are why I really should just bite the bullet and get a new one (which is why next couple of months are going to be a bit lean lol).

On an unrelated topic. Does anyone know whether the hardware store in town sells project panels or would I have to go to Ace in Blythe?

It depends on the laptop if it will run with or without a battery. All my older laptops will work without a battery. But my Dell won’t.

You best bet is to get your plywood needs on the list of someone at VanAid who is doing a supply run to Home Depot in Yuma or Lake Havasu City.
VanAid has a Facebook page and on that page are chat areas one of which is for carpentry projects.

I don't mind running into Blythe. Just didn't want to if I could get what I needed here.

Perhaps..,Call and ask what they have before you drive there. Remember that Van aid is using that same Blythe source for projects

Turkey day a potluck? Looks like salads and veggies still needed. I can rustle up a veggie dish.

I got a couple of bags of broccoli slaw. I will make a dressing to put on it. My fridge is pretty small so I needed something precut that fits into it and still leaves room for “REALFOOD”.
