I'm typing this on my newly purchased laptop. Once again, now that I am back Stateside, not having rent really frees up my money for other things. Last month, it was a new SmartPhone... my very first! So now I have joined the screen swiping community. This month it's a new laptop. Not having to pay $500 a month has paid off so far... I am continuing my training living in a small space.

Right now, I work in a small isolated office cubicle with my bread toaster, electric griddle, small oven toaster, rice cooker and crock pot. (I have my Boss' permission to do this)
Amazingly, I can fit everything and work in a space the size occupied by a sedan car. It's cramped, but I can pull of some pot roast, fried eggs, toast, etc... I try not to prepare foods that produce a lot of smoke and smell. Rice is pretty much odorless so I do a lot of rice based dishes right now.

Life is working out pretty well. In about 2 more months, I move back into my little home. Great White is down at the office lot right now, but in this heatwave... naah, I'll camp out in my cubicle at nights.

Camping in my office made me think of the many buildings out there whose airconditioners work 24 hours with or without people in them--pumping out all that cold air... wooh... It's a shame, isn't it? I was thinking of somehow taking advantage of that in some sly way... hmm... I am turning into a cunning rat! A scavenging raccoon... wild as an antelope! I love this...

And yet, I live better than most... eat organic and fresh... have lots of seafood, eat at any restaurant I like... Bathe everyday, keep up my hygiene really well... make my medical and dental expenses so far with my trips overseas (cheaper)... it's wonderful to be truly free.

Now... gotta finish my book before Winter comes...

You know... I'm turning Japanese! I live in a space as small as some cramped Japanese homes. I think I've passed the test and period of determination. I have joined Mr. Bob in proclaiming that this IS the life!
Hopefully, my next few paychecks can get me the upgrade I always wanted... Bigger rig, here I come!

Glad it's working out so well for you.

Next step is to make sushi rice and vegetable rolls.

I did not know abut ABS sheets Seraphim...dunno how I missed that????

Do you know how they will react in the heat and sun? I wonder if they give off fumes in any major way?

Do you have other experiences with the material? I am curious...it looks like a great material for many things....

Bri

I am thinking I will be lining my walls and roof with FRP. It's around $33 buck a 4x8 sheet at lowes.... though I did see a plastics shop on my way there to pick up the last of the supplies to do my roof vent install this weekend. I think I'll stop in an check it out next trip. I will have to look into ABS I guess.

sushi rolls already done! as well as making bibimbap which is really nutricious and cheap on the wallet.
Tonight, I am in my van preparing for my first winter night. Sweet little private space... my own little nest just like the wildlife outside... Makes me feel like I am with them little animals out there in their little homes. It's a great feeling.
