I've been eating like that lately. Feel great. Its when I found out that I had a wheat intolerance.

How did you find out about the wheat intolerance? What were the symptoms? Thanks

Well extreme tiredness(I mean the kind where your dragging LOL), very bad heartburn after having wheat. IBS. Mood changes (usually from the your sugar level jumping up and down). Depression. Hope that helps. I found out from another van dweller. Wendy wanders (name of blog) She suggested this blog(Wheat Belly) I swear I almost cried. Everyone had the same symptoms I had.

Also, you can have long term unexplained rashes, gut ache, constipation, diarrhea. I quit eating gluten 3 years ago. A rash I had on my leg for at least 10 years went away. It has never come back. I had spent $100 of dollars on specialists including a biopsy and they never could find out what that rash was or why I had it.

I took one blood test for a multitude of allergies at the cost of $168. I'm not actually allergic to gluten, but I am allergic to wheat, yeast, milk, almonds (which sucks because I use almond flour for my muffins and pancakes and drink Almond milk)

Although this is my diet of choice, anyway, I think it's just a current fad.

Sorry don't agree. When you have as many symptoms as I had and thousands of other people have why would you go back to eating wheat? Even if I didn't lose a pound I would eat like this. I feel better. No awful heartburn IBS and other aches. As yesican mentioned diarrhea constipation and yes tummy aches too. If you read up on what has happened to wheat in the past 30 years you'll see what I mean. Hop over to Wheat Belly and and take a read. Good stuff.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply that there aren't people who can't tolerate wheat and who are greatly helped. Just talking about the diet, in general, being the du jour craze.
