I'm new to this and have no auto repair skills.  I also have no tools or garage to do much regarding my own build out.  Does this van seem overpriced?  I like that it already has solar panels & wood floors.

I plan on putting some miles on this and may end up living it it full time, and have read some posts on options on older vehicles, which leaves me confused.  :(   Seller had it listed for 6K on an older listing, instead of 6.5k.

Thanks for any insight!

I wouldnt pay that for it. maybe $4k at most

Van has a lot going for it.

1) extended van
2) looks clean/no rust (?)
3) some prep has been done
4) additional add-ons included
5) 2 new tires
6) already insulated

Have the major items checked. Brakes, perhaps a cylinder compression check, (if you do buy it, definitely change out radiator = don't wait until it fails at the worst time), a/c checked, front steering components, etc.

Top I'd pay $5,000 (minus any con's I find). Get the vin # if you're interested before looking at it. If smog needed, have them provide you that print out "pass" ahead of time (on their dime).

Thanks Caution.  Good info!  Appreciate it.

Thanks everyone. I will keep looking and come back here for opinions. Much appreciated!

ALWAYS have the title in the person's name that is selling...plus have a bill of sale to back that up. It's well worth the cost to get AAA, they will check if there is a lien/tickets tied to vehicle. I hear/read stories...that is one reason why the title may not be IN the seller's name. Or the seller didn't realize back-paying was required, so they sell without YOUR knowing either. Best to cover your behind! Good luck! :D

small note, i couldn't see the license plates, if it does not have CA plates, to register out of state vehicle into CA will need dmv inspection. Something I personally avoid as you know . . . the DMV dramas.

Yeah, says registration is current but doesn't mention CA.  Good catch!

Kelly Blue Book puts the value at approx $1900. There doesn't appear to be anything special about the van and it's empty except for the wood floor it looks like the installed, and it has windows. I might go as high as $2500 max IF it was in top mechanical condition and they have the records to prove it. Good luck.

Thanks.  It does have the 200 watt solar panels and that is all wired, along with the 12 volt refrigerator.  Do any of you know how much it costs to buy & have solar panels installed?  I think I saw on Amazon that the panels themselves would be around $600?

Thanks!

Two new tires does not make it worth that much.  A shiny wood floor, badly installed and sealed (picture 3) ~~~  a couple solar panels. (no mention of if they are hooked up) Batteries?  A used fridge, does not say if it is 12v or not.  No close ups of the body on a 23 year old van.  Stock conversion van interior.

No mention of what Renogy system was installed, and no pictures either.

The mileage indicates stock transmission, (23 years old)  No mention of any motor parts recently replaced.

I would go over it with a fine tooth comb before offering any more than $2,000.

It sounds like a fantastic money pit.

Thanks GotSmart.  I did ck with seller and was told solar panels were hooked up and that the fridge was a 12v, but yeah, no mention of batteries, etc.  I am just starting to look and I did let this one go.  Still trying to narrow down what I need and want, etc., and what it costs to pay someone to improvements that I don't think I could do.  Trying to also decide if a much newer van is worth the investment overall, or if an older one and the savings that come, is a better choice, knowing you will have more repair costs.
