Hello All!  My Promaster and I will be hitting the road in the ned 2-3 weeks!

Excited and nervous (same thing?) to get going.  Will surely use the site along the way.

Thanks in advance to you all!

Aaron

Welcome to the CRVL forums Aaron! Congratulations! Where are you headed to first? Hope you can make it to the RTR in January - always a good time!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Oh dear, your intro almost slipped by.... glad you were not talking about the proverbial alcohol! LOL

Welcome Aaron. Where is your promaster headed first? Did you build it out? You may have a thread on that, but I'm not online as much as I used to be so I probably missed that, too.

Welcome to the CRVL Forum !   :)

Remember being a little kid at an Amusement Park and beholding a big Roller Coaster?   How overpowering  a spectacle it was when before you were excited about riding it.  Suddenly,  you just didn't know anymore.

Then,  you got on it with your friends and.........

forgot your fears and had the time of your life.

Once you plan a trip where you are drifting along and seeing a lot of sites and taking a bunch of little side trips
to see interesting things,  you'll be having a lot of fun while learning and growing.   And that's about the same way it happens with so much of life.   Once we cross that impasse and discover we can do it amazing things begin to happen in our lives.

I'd offer you to view my sites below and check out the lower one.   It is for those like yourself who are with a Rig ready to go but aren't sure now of just where too go.   The site has several Trip Planners that can show you the road and places along the way.  You can tell these App's how many miles off the beaten path you are willing to go,  and it will show you what is possible.  There is an old saying that goes,  "no one plans to fail,  they just fail to plan".    These Planners can help you to take in so much during your travels.

The site is like a "Swiss Army Knife" of useful links, information, widgets,  methods, tips, and data.  One could spend awhile using the trip planners,  free campsite finders,  and so forth to plan for the next few days journey ahead from the comfort of camp.

While on the road you may meet up with interesting people with fascinating hobbies.   You may want to learn from them and expand your outlook on new things you never thought about before.

This is the point where you'll be riding and enjoying the coaster instead of fearing it.    All the best to you !

Thanks all for the welcome. I have left Portland and am camping my way south towards family in So. Cal. From there, I am heading to NC in order to have my van kitted out...hopefully by then (November?) I'll have the design fairly finalized.
