I am now 77 years OLD and have this 35 foot class A motorhome for almost a year.
I did not escape anything but the house.  Wife and I lived in a 32 foot TT from 1985 until 1992 and came to Oklahoma from Florida just in front of hurricane Andrew, that blew Homestead away.  I was a field engineer in electronics so we were pretty flexible as to where we lived.  In 1994 I lost my left leg to cancer so that put a great inconvenience in the rest of whatever I did, no more jacking with a TT to a van.  So I laid around the house for bout a year and then found a 23 foot class B+ transtar motorhome and we knocked around Oklahoma in that for the next 10 years until wife came up with a case of colon cancer and after she died I didn`t feel like using any of OUR stuff anymore so I got this big ole 35 foot with a big slide out and moved all my stuff into it.  So far I am still living in the driveway of our house some and at the lake some and at our daughters some.
All you guys and guyettes have helped me a LOT on here and I have been into vandwellers yahoo for a long time, got a kick out of that before even the chuckwagon!  Take care and keep cool.

I need a valium, a winning lotto ticket, a full time nanny and a happy meal
