Offline Blogging Software Mac - hopefully free

I know many folks here blog.
I'm looking for offline software with preview.
I would like to update my blog more often, if I could write posts whenever then sync later when I'm on free Wi-Fi thinking I would do a better job.

I used my regular Word program...not sure what the equivalent is for Mac. I could write it all off-line, save as a document and then just copy/paste to blogspot when on line.

I also had my pictures all prepped - chosen, resized and labelled before going online. Once I'd done the copy/paste I added the pics and be done.

Having the blog saved to word also saved me mega annoyance when something went kaboom and I lost a couple of blog posts. It was fairly simple to recreate them.
