Here are some images showing our spending in October living in 22' trailer in RV park 50 miles from Manhattan.

We went from living downtown making $170,000 and spending $9,000 per month, to moving north to suburbs living on $6,000. Then moving further north to PA living on $4,500 budget (150,000 income). Now we are at the RV park living on $2,200. Income dropped to $110,000 (wife no longer working).

Next goal. Retirement, boondocking and actually cooking meals, cutting the cost down to $1,400.

May 31st will be my last day at work. Staying extra year cause they offered me nice severance. Retiring at 42 (wife did at 36). All because I found Bob and saw the movie. Otherwise we would still be downtown working and paying $825 just for a parking space.

$2,147 spent. Still lots of fast food (34 times) but low cost. Use to spend at least a grand eating out down in the city.

I know, I know, I eat way too much candy (vending machine at work). It's the only happiness I got.

We're on the hamster wheel with six figure income as well. Looks great from the outside but it's not.

Our sticks and bricks situation:
Mortgage is $1,500 a month. Half of that is property taxes.
Two car payment totaling $500 - only need cars for commuting.
All else is about $2,000.

Eventually the house and cars get sold. We hook the trailer to the old truck and pop smoke.

I understand. Congratulations on finding a way out. A pivot on that data would be nice. What's your destination?

Hello,

I didn't see a line item for cell phones or internet, maybe I missed it?  I worked up my own budget here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eVuv7jnIJfGFBZVLefmcyolG00jj7lT4ZSSbkSBwgHo/edit?usp=sharing) but I'm in the same rat race 1hr North of NYC.  Counting the days.  Haha.  GL!
