I don't own a van yet so all I can do is watch videos and think of when my time will come to be able to live the good life. How do I watch daily posts from people who are traveling from place to place. I love to hear their stories. Thanks

welcome Brenda Yes the good life, if your life is "not so good" please do not expect a miracle, this is a chosen lifestyle when dropped into it things will change and not always for the better but for the different. You will hear about the high points but not very often the low you will read about frustration and dealing with the challenges, this is exciting because we grow as we learn especially about ourselves and our shortcomings.

I'm ok with that as I agree with learning as we go...as far as a big change...I have already lost everything I have so when I can somehow get a van it won't be as big a deal as it would be if I still had my home, car, health ins. etc. I look forward to the day when I can take off with all that is to come. Maybe we will meet on the road one day, who knows. Namaste

Welcome, Brenda!  I'm sure most of us dreamed about the 'life' well before it became reality.

Welcome to CRVL   :)

I have a couple of websites (below) that may give you something to build a dream on and then turn it to a
reality inexpensively.  Whether you wish to go on the road full time right from the beginning or just get a rig
together and use it in the summer around your region to go sight seeing, picnicking, overnight or week end
trips.  It's a good way to get started and gain some experience in an affordable manner.

You could start by getting a Map and drawing a 100 or 150 mile radius of your home and then investigating
how many scenic places, historic places, State Parks, Lakes & Beaches, etc that there in the circle and visiting these places on an overnight to an extended weekend.  You'll be doing all the same things the full timers do but only in baby steps.   But that's how you'll learn.

Welcome to the forums Brenda.
I lost everything also , while living this lifestyle.
My rig burned as I was on the road to MS from ME.
Just a hint that it can be great and it can be not so.
BTW , I'm still doing it and hope to never stop.

Welcome Brenda! I admire your positivity and look forward to watching your journey unfold.
