:-/ :s Hello out there! I am preparing to hit the road by end of the year. Still haven't acquired a VAN yet. Have looked at enough to determine that I want to keep it simple, easy, and self contained. Don't want to tow anything and want to keep it to 4 tires/wheels, regular gas (no diesel), no more than 8 yrs old, higher gas mileage. Thinking a basic set-up of bed area, bathroom, table conversion, min.2burner stove, a fridge  bigger than those old dorm frigs., some storage bins, a maybe a few little bells & whistles. A roll out awning would be nice. It looks like the RoadTreks are very popular which hopefully means they are efficient & dependable. I like the look of these angled front ends that seems to scream streamlined and they have nice organization inside. They keep coming onto dealers lots with very low mileage and a story of 'an elderly couple tried it out and decided they wanted something bigger'.  Any thoughts on all the above?

Welcome van2go to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

I have an old Roadtrek and love it. Mine is on a chevy chassis. I am not sure how well the mercedez hold up and they may be a little more problematic to get someone to work on them. Welcome.
