We are a recently retired couple, retired early to start our new rv life. We watch hundreds of videos on rv living and are going on our first long adventure in June. Didn't think we'd be able to go to the RTR, but luckily things changed so we are going, if only for a bit!  Just in time for clean-up!  :shy: We will be there about 1:00 on Friday. Will there be any room for us? We have an old  33' class A for this trip.  If not, can someone suggest a back-up place/overflow where others of like-mind are camped? Also, can anyone tell me what is the "Burning Van" event I saw on the calendar for Saturday night?  Thanks to any who have a chance to respond. Looking forward to meeting new friends!

Burning Van like Burning Man is the symbolic closing of the event. I think I read in another post they've constructed a plywood mock up van which they intend to torch...

There is plenty of room, if not in the main camp certainly a wash or two away.. You won't be alone unless you want to be...

Welcome to the CRVL forums Luckytotravel!  There's a women's RTR gathering right after the RTR. Women only but there will be men staying at the site too so that their wives may attend.  https://vanlivingforum.com/showthread.php?tid=27339&page=8

 Here's a little info about Burning Van - https://vanlivingforum.com/showthread.php?tid=29007&pid=364256&highlight=burning van#pid364256

Thanks for all the helpful replies! We are excited to get there this afternoon. Wish I could stay for the Womens RTR, but we have to be back on Monday. I'll be going to the Tips and Tricks section, thanks for that info!
