i just wanted to introduce myself.  I'm a former Appalachian trail thru hiker and currently own a class b conversion van named Bertha.  Bertha is 26 yrs old and still going strong. I've done a few cross country trips and hope to live in Bertha full time after I sell my house.  :)

Welcome, Woodwoman! Is that your trail name?

Welcome to the CRVL forums, Woodswoman! Living in a van will be a piece of cake after hiking the AT

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

:) Hello and Welcome!  Do you have any 4 legged creatures for travel companions?

I used to live near the AT in Wind Gap PA as a kid. Spent an awful lot of weeks up there. I now fulltime van-travel around the country.

After being accustomed to carrying everything on your back, a camper-van feels palatial. :)

Welcome! Hope you get a good price on selling your house!

Greetings,

This is Jerry from Brooklyn, fulltimer in a 97 class B.  I was Ten88 on the AT in 2008 so I extend a BIG HELLO to you.  Welcome to a great community.

Welcome aboard WW!

Being from Maine , I have climbed Katahdin several times but never through hiked the AT.
One of the trips was at night and watched sunrise from Pamola Pk. and the Knife's Edge.

Ask all the questions you have and someone here will have the answer.
