Hey Everyone,
I am a newbie for camping in small spaces now, I have a 2002 Suburban 4x4 that is currently under the knife per say.  . Sometimes you just want to go with a vehicle that can get in get out ,no muss no fuss as you will.   Plus now living on a budget makes travel a bit tougher when towing a trailer. Plus seems like a lot of knowledge here and also want to see what others have done with their ride. Hope I will see another suburban converted.  I just installed a power inlet on the side today, put a 100 amp renogy panel on the top, have room up there for 2 more . and even found a compressor fridge for 200 bucks . 43qt Edgestar.

So if anyone has advice good or bad throw it at me!

Moving slow and deliberately saves money on lots of things, not just gas.

When I was i San Diego I saw a black Suburban with an amazing set up. I took a video to get ideas and then the owner came back with his kids, he was living in it and picked up his kids from the mom. He was very open about showing me inside. He gutted the entire thing and only driver and passenger seats, put wooden floors (nothing fancy), had built on both sides a bunch of narrow shelves before installing insulation. He had some folding bed like a futon and had solar panels on the roof but also had these big cases wtih things. He had a frame welded all around the truck and welded frame held gas cans, metal boxes containing tools and propane tank and what not, the windows and entire body where totally covered with some black paint used to cover truck beddings and only the front windows where able to see out. The rear and side windows where all in black with that rough paint, it looked like a tank really. He had it lifted also with lights outside all over and a winch. He lived in it with 2 real big dogs and said he'd been living in it for years. He was also selling the monster but out of my budget. It was amazing really. I've been considering something like that and be able to pull a trailer. I have so many videos I've done and been meaning to upload but just have not gotten to it and if I find it I will post it.
