Hello all!! Just beginning my new simple, cheaper, easier lifestyle; because of an accident on the job, I find myself retired and disabled in my 40s. There have been so many changes, and yet the biggest one, well this is it. I am looking to purchase a small travel trailer for

full time living. I've seen many different models, just waiting for the right one to come along. For now, I am able to stay with
family and begin to save money. I am so excited at this new adventure. When I try to explain why my choice for a home is a small camper, I get looks like I'm crazy. Its not the American dream. But if its my dream, doesn't that make it the right American dream for me?

And Im excited to meet and talk with others who share the same ideals, and to hopefully make lots of friends!!! [Image: shy.gif]

Hi and Welcome!!

I do know of an awesome camper for sale. *grin* lol Just kidding. But yeah, it is sometimes hard for other people to grasp the thought of going small and leaving a small footprint. Once they see how you are doing it, though, it might make them come around, so hang in there. Best of luck!!

Welcome. Hope YOUR dream comes true for your future exactly how you want it to.

Wish you all the luck in your new adventure!  I am having to sell my house and going down the same road.  At the present, I am researching small trailers and really downsizing all my accumulations, which I really am enjoying doing.  Have a great time, anything new is an adventure.

Erin, I was thinking "travel trailer" myself.....INITIALLY. But then I looked at the top of this page , under "van conversions" and , especially, "Other conversions" at the cargo trailer conversions. Take a peek...might change your mind.

Thank you everyone! Bob, I watched your documentary on Youtube and loved it! It has really given me even more determination to make this dream
come true. Ken, I have considered building my own, but unfortunately my back injury and subsequent disability has left me unable to physically tackle a project of this size. I hope to find a small used camper or trailer that I can personalize and make my very own. Since I have permanently
moved to Mesa and I have seen this lifestyle be so successful here, I am going to make it happen this year. Are there any local gatherings or groups that meet? I missed Quartzsite this year. Next year for sure!!!!
