I guess it is better than under a bridge for safety reasons (and bugs) but I've only had a few problems while being homeless. Had a phone and cheap bracelets stolen once while I was crashing in a vacant house. Oh and one time while under a bridge my cheap silver rings and glasses were taken. So I guess it is better than actually being homeless. I just like being able to sleep which is extremely difficult if you can't lay down. Just so you guys know...I now keep my tent and all of my camping gear in the trunk of my car so if I ever get stuck somewhere again (with my car) at least I can find a nice safe spot and set up my tent for the night. =) Life can be challenging sometimes but it's what we learn from those challenging experiences that allows us to grow.
By the way. I'm not one of the "Crusty Punks" that many people see on the street. I have just found myself stuck in Memphis with nowhere to go and no way to get in touch with anyone a few times.
Just to clarify. Not all Crust Punks are junkies. Most are cool people really. But if I was a normie I wouldn't trust them. lol Crust Punk btw is a style of hardcore music that is um...how do you say? An acquired taste! Yeah that's a nice way to put it. Woot. If you haven't read my replies I've been gone for a bit but am loving this site. So much info! I have a nice cargo van now. Also "housed up" for the moment. Life is good. Now maybe I can have more time to share some of my stories with you all. =) P.L.U.R. to everyone. =)
