Newbie heading west

Welcome....I too bought a used truck and truck camper last year......spent last 10 months fixing and improving things and now just about ready to go.....Going to try my hand workcamping in NC or VA next spring / summer....take care...

I purchased a four wheel hawk camper .  Got the shell model because i didnt want the clutter.  Will probably change the set up many times.  good luck with the work camping.  I will try that later but i want to relax for a while.

Haha, I did it all assbackwards....

The first deposit of my pension checks into my bank account sure did feel great. I started collecting mine as soon as I could legally apply.

Our CPP plan has some ill thought out rules and until I was collecting it, I couldn't stop paying in to it. Being self employed meant $$$$$ of dollars in contributions that there was no way I would ever live long enough to see returned to me in higher payouts...so I quit paying in to the system...

I kind of envy those that actually walk out the door on their last day. It must feel so freeing!

With me working from home doing sales, it was an anticlimax on the last day...nothing special about it at all except I could start feeling absolutely no guilt (instead of just a smidgen... ) about being out working in my van when my mind said I was supposed to be in my office instead.
