Hi Everyone.  Everyday I think and research my future of living on the road.  I recently purchased a 1999 chevy 1500 conversion that I have thrown all my camping stuff in.  I am slowly working on getting some sort of solar power into it and making it work for me.  I go on as many local trips as possible, but really look forward to it being full time.
I live in the San Francisco Bay area and will be able to retire in 4 years, however, I would like to leave the hectic lifestyle here as soon as possible. Just working on the money thing.

Welcome pfsweets! This is from one newbie to another.

Welcome to the CRVL forum !   :)

Everything you will need to get started is right here.

Going out on the weekends is a great way to "shake down"
and be ready for when the time comes.  You will want to develop
a list of things you will always want to have in your trove of gear.

Having these things will give you a sense of confidence and mastery
when in camp.  A year or two of this will have you ready to go on the
road full time when combined with what you will learn here about travel
strategies.

If you haven't checked out the links below,  do consider doing that.

Good Luck
