Have been following Bob Wells more than 2 years. Do watch you tube videos weekly to keep up on this mobile lifestyle.
Am a professional musician and teacher. Traveled many decades performing full-time & taught part-time. Was a member of the AFM Musicians Union, which helped me find contracted performances.
Stopped traveling because of family, stayed put to teach full-time & perform part-time. Now I am planning on traveling again to pick up where I left off. I will start performing again in several Western States I have always liked.
Currently own a 2001 Ford Windstar LX (passenger van) and will pull a 6x12 Wells Cargo, cargo trailer. Am currently building it into a liveable camper.
The building process is going slowly, as I expect this trailer to be comfortable and built to last. Have completed the vinyl flooring & am installing insulation. Doing the best job I can to prepare for both hot & cold weather regions.
Many years I traveled exclusively in cars. I ate & slept in every one I owned. I also owned a step van & a good pickup with a good camper on it. Now I'm building a camper/trailer that is lightweight (single axle) with a large enough floor plan for living with all the modern conveniences & enough room for daily practicing and a computerized music studio to create and lay down backing tracks.
It's all great fun and I plan to make it to the 2019 RTR. In the meantime I will continue to complete my trailer build and continue to build up my nest egg. Will learn what I can from this forum as I build my trailer.
Hope you have a good RTR in Jan. 2018. See you in 2019. Will try to get a front row seat so I won't miss any of the seminars. I am really looking forward to it. Thank you for all the good tips & hints so far. I look forward to learning more.
