now the cross members are in place and the panels are mounted.  that is 870 watts of solar.

a shot of the roof top junction box.

I got other stuff done but didn't get pics.  I got more insulation in,  I welded the side door steps brackets in and installed the steps,  I also welded the brackets that hold the tongue box and installed the box,  and I installed the side door grab handle.  that's all for now,  more to come.

Looks like you could have scooted the solar panels over and maybe gotten 2 more for 1740 watts unless you are going to be carrying something else long up there? You could have been welding with solar alone! LOL!!!

thanks everyone.

Bullfrog the panels sit inside the rack a little, in other words the sides of the rack are taller than the panels. this is so the panels are protected from tree branches. they are not right on the edge to help with any shadows from the rack. there is another 10 feet of roof space in front of those 2 panels I have a 265 watt panel going there for a total of 1,135 watts. but that will be down the road I am not in a big hurry for that. and yes I have other long things that are going up there. I have 3 dredge hoses that are 20 feet long apiece.

You really have to watch where the cursor is as it moves when you are uploading and inserting files.

That is gonna be nicer than commercial trailer RV's. It is actually looking like an RV and not a cargo trailer. Nice job everyone is doing.

Looks great.... I like the extended tongue and also the barn doors on the rear. I would not have one with a ramp on it.

Now, add a mini split A/C and you will be comfortable.

HDR:

Congrats to you on the new trailer. Wish I was there to give you a hand. Keep the pics coming; we will all live vicariously your project! Be safe.

Next project was to build the rear storage box.  the box is 8' x 8' x 21" tall.  sorry about the pics with the rear doors open,  the glare is terrible.

IMG_1379.JPG
bare walls

IMG_1384.JPG
here we had to take the bottom of the walls to attach a 2x2 that would be the top of the box.  we did this on both sides.  the 2x2 is glued and screwed.

IMG_1383.JPG
more contrast in this pic you can see the 2x2 better.

IMG_1388.JPG
all painted up.  on to the next step.
