new guy

Hello everyone.  I registered a little while back and just now have the time and opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Kevin and I am now vandwelling 50/50 by desire and by circumstance.  Since I was a kid I wanted to live in a van, and through the years so many people talked down on it that the idea got stuffed way back in my mind while I did the college deal and wound up working hardhat jobs afterwards.  Long story short, after I was laid off for two weeks and lost my roomate, I had just enough money for a first month plus security or a beat up vandura.  Since I'm posting on this website you can guess which route I went  <img src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" align="absmiddle" border="0">.  As of last week my setup consists of a futon pad, work clothes and a pile of now unnecessary stuff that used to be things I couldn't part with.  So much for a short introduction.  I am grateful this website is here and I look forward to getting to know you all!

We all have information that will help! Some of us are by choice others I'm sure by circumstance. One way or the other, vandwelling isn't a bad thing unless you make it that way <img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"> I love it.
