Hello everyone. I have been reading rv forums for the last few years and ran into this site. We are planning for the day that we actually spend the winters in a warmer climate. I plan on staying in northern Michigan during the summer and heading to texas cali and Arizona during the winter.<br>Some people laugh at or think people are crazy for living in an rv and cant even imagine living in a van or car. I started reading and searching for more info on living in&nbsp; vehicles&nbsp; when I read a post about a young person asking if people thought he was crazy for wanting to do this. The most asinine response was that he should grow up and face reality and stop trying to run away from his problems. I couldn't disagree more and can think of many reasons for doing this. <br>Well, I will talk&nbsp; about it more in the forums.&nbsp; Later<br><br>

As I said in the intro I took more of an interest in this area after reading some of the posts and thinking about the housing market. It used to be that people could buy a house, fix it up a little and sell it years later for a profit. It was always that way. Well we know the rest of that story don't we. Now we see the destruction of the middle class as the jobs continue to go overseas. Much of the blame is because of over regulation. I dont want to go into that but the end result is that our standards of living will continue to go down.They are also printing massive amounts of money which causes prices to go up.<br>People my age have stories about how our parents could have just the father working and would stay at home raising the kids. My parents did that and had enough money to buy a lake lot and build a cabin in northern Mich. <br>Its not that way now days, in fact a young guy could go into a factory or learn a trade and do ok. Now they are paying $9.00 to $13.00 and hour. A guy cant get hitched and raise a family on that. In fact you cant do it if you both work. Thats living at your parents house wages.&nbsp; <br>So Im not saying everyone will start living in a van or rv but I can absolutely see why a person may use it as a temporary way to live while educating themselves or saving money or even retire. Its green, its lean and its smart. <br><br></span></div></span>
