My name is Laura and I am less than one month old lost and houseless.  I am with a group of ladies who broke off of the Woman's caravan who are leaving to go back to there homes and on Friday I have no clue as to where to go.  But I am taking it in stride and I will be making my way up north. If there is anyone else near Quartzite who is in the same boat let me know. Thank God for anxiety medicine. :)

Just want to say a Big Hello to all the other van dwellers, rvers and anyone else on 0, 2 or more wheels.

Thank you all :shy:

Welcome to the CRVL forums Laura! I recommend staying in Quartzsite until it gets too warm for you since you're familiar with the area already. Join some of the Virtual Campfires - https://www.meetup.com/caravans/ - to talk with other nomads and calm your fears. When you decide to start heading north check Campendium to make sure the forests and BLM lands are opened for camping - https://www.campendium.com/camping/covid-19-state-by-state-campground-closures-responses/
Even with all of the closures, there are still many places to camp so don't panic, just do some research before setting out.

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome lauraH0214 - Hope it all works out for you - I am 3,000 miles away from you and just as ready for things to return to normal as you. I take my share of those drugs and got my days and nights mixed up. So now I added benadryl to try to get some sleep.

Thank you Nature Lover, I hope all is well with you there.  I am just going to make a switch to my med schedule.  You take care and I am going to keep reminding myself the this too shall pass.

I am in Quartzsite area, have been since RTR.
I am a single guy and know probably not the demographic you're looking for.

But if in a crisis I am a good one to have around, 6 ft away. :)

I am probably here till temps increase then to higher elevations of N. AZ, NV, CA

Can you all help me understand what "Quartzsite" is? I am new to living out of my vehicle and desperately looking for a place I could stay longer than one night or a hotel that's going to eat up what's left of my savings...  Thanks!

Quartzsite is a town in sw Arizona. Big winter destination, but it gets really hot, starting about now.

Arizona is an interesting place climate-wise, nomads do live here year round by changing elevations. And Arizona is normally pretty nomad-friendly.
