By saying "forumed" did I create a new word? Well not technically, but it's underlined with big red ink. Okay, so please excuse me, I'm not sure how to answer people. I've been watching Bob's videos for a few months, and before that I was scared to death on how I might make it. Now, I'm both excited and scared! But I have both hope and a vitality feeling that I haven't experience in my present existence. So the hubby left because he found a better partner and I now have make do in my older years. Awww. It'll be okay. I have a ton of questions on how to do this, so I guess from here out I will post under other categories. Can't wait to meet fellow campers on the road! Luv you already...be well.

On this forum, if you remember to "stay within the lines, the lines are your friends" (which you might have learned in your youth), you'll probably be okay. This was my first forum too; and I got a bit too excited on a thread, then was warned.

Welcome! I'm 66 and won't be starting out until I'm 67, so anything is possible. When I think I'm too old, I remind myself of all the retirees who jump into RVs and take off when they retire. I won't have an RV, but I'll be free, so that's something. YOU CAN DO IT! I plan to start out with the bare essentials and build from there, since I have a limited income. 

I remember a video on Bob's channel about a lady named Deborah who showed up in a van with virtually NOTHING in it except a sleeping bag and her belongings. Everyone got together and helped her do a basic build, and she's still on the road and doing well.

I remember an old All in the Family, where Archie said he loves it when he has the house to himself and he "can walk around in nothing but my socks, a cigar in one hand and a beer in the other, scratching myself wherever I please."

There must be some variation of that that works for women too. I hope you find it!
