Hi everybody,

Just giving a useage report on our vans solar system.

Renogy premium eclipse 200w kit with mppt charging two 6v egc2's.
Install was super easy, build quality seems to be VERY HIGH!
Well pleased with the purchase!

The panels have been collecting volts quite steadily since installation on the roof rack system.

I started our Engel refrig, (only have the 12v plugged in for now) and the occasional running of the MaxAir.

The system has been running flawlessly since last Monday. I check the morning voltages, and I seem to have plenty of juice left. By mid morning, the meter says full!

We had three days of heavy clouds (hurricane Cyndi), but we were still pulling in about 13 to 17 amps. Freaking awesumm!!!

I did plug in the shore line a little bit to run the knife so that we could cut the foam, but not more than 20 minutes or so. The ac system was turned off, so the batteries received no charging from the shore line.

Again, very pleased with the system and the results!!

Such Fun!

Solar is wonderful isn't it. Success stories like this shows what even a limited amount can do for a person.

Yes! But I think in my case it is more likely, a minor testament as to what even a true green horn can do with a modest amount of cash and a huge base of folks freely sharing their collective knowledge and experiences!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooo grateful to all of you that assisted and encouraged me.

I feel so blessed and thankful!

Such Fun!

So the Renogy works well? How difficult was it to install? I saw the pictures of your installation and it looked great.

Bear in mind, I have zero solar experience, much less solar system installation abilities!!!

But, yes! The system is very well built, easy to hook up, the installation was easy, and it works very well. By tomorrow, Monday, the system has been running for a full week now.

By that I mean, I have run the Engel fridge at a mid range setting completely off the batteries, and every day it has been recharged back to full within a few hours. Even on cloudy days!

Today I was pulling a full 10.8 amps! I even enjoyed an ice cold bottle of water from the fridge.
Yesterday, I put 32 bottles in there at 2:30. They were quite cold today!

The Renogy Eclipse system is as close to being installer friendly as a system can be.  It is my personal reccommendation to buy this system.

I have only seen one problem with those panels, and that was only because the vehicle drove under a low tree and tore the panel off.  It just took one wire end to repair it.
