In a recent wrongful-death type of situation, I read that some police officers only get FOUR MONTHS of training before they're put on the street. Comparatively, it takes two years to get an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts.

If you want to lose your weapon to ignorance for an unspecified period of time, this might be a good one to carry.

This is an interesting comment.  Because of its nature,  law enforcement is generally considered to be the last true mouth-to-ear, on the job training occupation.  BTW, that's generally four months of classroom-type training followed by at least that much time (hopefully) in field training.  It's generally recognized that even at that it takes five years for a rookie to gain enough experience to become a journeyman cop.

I come from a law enforcement background, have a degree in Administration of Justice,  and have attended the law enforcement academy in two states in my thirty year tenure. I have to ask, what makes you think that four months of training is inadequate or leads to decisions being made in ignorance by cops on the street?

Most military units have boot camp and basic training at 8-11 weeks over the years.... and a few months OJT....and depending on budget ...limited live fire of weapons..... and they are protecting the country as we slumber.....so the training timeline I am not seeing where this is relevant.

I think this shotgun may find a niche' somewhere and it would be okay in close quarters but the hassles of ownership and the law while traveling would be a deal breaker for me.

Bond arms has an over under with 410 / 45 option if you can hold it! I believe it is listed as a less than 6" barrel.
