If a thread has been started on this direct me. Part timer might want to do full ? :s I'm very good at not spending money (budgeting) no debt etc. Thinking living in a van full time might be more expensive ? spent a lot of time reducing cost w/ the house. I think right now having a home base in Az.  works. What would be some great seasonal options as far as employment w/ a home base in Az. and on the road during the summer ? need more brains.

Welcome to the CRVL forums cactijuice! Two possibilities that come to mind are campground hosting and filling seasonal positions in tourist towns. Check this thread for more suggestions - https://vanlivingforum.com/showthread.php?tid=31076

Van dwelling can be very inexpensive but you'll have home base expenses so you'll have to consider that plus the money you'll spend on gas, an occasional campground, entertainment, etc. when you're on the road.

I am fortunate because I have a job I can do on the road (I'm an editor for a small boom publishing company). So I can spend three or four days a week working and the other three or four days a week sightseeing in whatever city I happen to be in.

I typically spend about $1000/month to travel around the country. But that includes luxuries like eating out at least once every day, and a LOT of museum, zoo and park visits. There are plenty of folks who live comfortably in a van or RV on $5-600/month.
