hello all.......... i've been listening to their youtube videos, don't have a subscription yet. they offer some sort of premium subscription also.

i'm trying to get up to speed on getting over the air well... internet via phone but i guess more importantly some self contained hot spot. i've used visible, pc's for people, etc ---------- wow, are those slow.

does anyone like (see subject)? they seem to cover the hardware, plans, loop holes, etc, to the nth degree.  i haven't seen anyone else like them, unless i guess there are geeky comm forums lurking out there.

i'm still figuring all this stuff out, but it seems like mimo would be good for urban, but maybe a booster would be required when you're in the outback, and do some actually use both????

thank you, and happy trails

I have no idea what you are talking about. do you have a link? Highdesertranger

sure thing... they have a multitude of videos dealing with all the crazy details of companies, plans, hardware, mimo, boosters, antennas, hotspots... and the list goes on.

they seem very detailed, quite knowledgeable, and i guess just as importantly --- constantly putting out new videos... wondering what people here think.

i think i mentioned they have hidden subscriber areas, which i haven't seen...

this one is on which jetpack is best... a little dated, 2019

more up to date, dec 2020, on tmobile hotspots

tmobile magenta max plan, feb 2021

and a nice one on antennas.... a few months old

I crossed paths with them a few years ago, before they switched mostly to yachting. They gave me a srocker that says "When I grow up I want to be me."

As for their advice, it has turned out to suit my purposes well.

I follow them.  They are great at notification of changes in deals.  This is quite important because some of the best deals that the major carriers offer are often only available for a short period.  After that you can’t get the deal, but those that did are grandfathered.  I was able to get unlimited plans with Verizon, AT&T, and tMobile from their notifications.  The really cool thing about the tMobile is that it provides unlimited/unthrotteled roaming with the main Canadian carriers at LTE service.  Really cool - in fact I was able to stream Netflix while camping in Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean.  I had 30 Mbps download while watching waves on the Arctic from my rig...   ;-)

yeah, they seem on top of the 'deals' which are generally grandfathered in as plans change.

i'm more impressed with their knowledge of all the hardware and strategies to get good internet. it just seems to me i gotta get pretty educated on all the material dealing with cell and data signals out in the boonies if i expect to be connected?? i'm just wondering how other people here figure it out.

other than them, all the youtubers i no of that deal with this are bob wells, who's not that tech savvy, and jim in denver. i don't recall jim covering mimo, though.he covered weboost, i think.

oh well. just wondering.
