Missing women

I’ve noticed thru the local face group that recently a couple of women vandwellers have gone missing.

After watching a scary incident that could have gone very bad for a woman last year I thought I’d post about these two as a warning to be more aware of your surroundings and don’t trust so easily.

Both these woman were camping solo.

This next woman went missing a couple days ago:

There was also a dead body found in a wash by Dome Rock the other day. I only know it was a man.

How many more might be missing I don’t know. There is a rather large group of homeless people that winter here that beg from the street corners and other places. I ran into a situation that could have ended very badly for one of these women last year. I can’t find my post about it but she probably would never have been missed and not reported.

If anyone knows where I posted it could you put it here. There could be many more like that in the position she was in that haven’t ever been reported.

Please be aware and careful and try to camp with a few others. If there is anyone in the area that is camping alone and would like the security of a group we do have one in La Posa South. Please, if you’d like to camp with us observe distancing and masking guidelines.

Depressing thing to hear going into the new year. But I fear there will be more of it, with so many people being tossed out into the streets and having no mental handle on it available. Things will happen and it's hard to think about.

Try to stick together if you can. Being a loner or traveler is going to make you a lot more vulnerable than it used to.

Most people out there mean you no harm, but there are certainly some that do.

May they be found, and be safe.

Some women simply have no survival or self-preservation instincts. If they have a Creep Alarm, they seem to ignore it.

The basic definition of a psychopath: a person who has no conscience. Some psychopaths are very skilled con artists, and can appear to be nice people. Serial killer Ted Bundy was one of the best.

We have a tragic case in my home community an 18-year-old Amish woman went missing June 21, 2020 and has not been seen cents. They apparently have enough evidence that they charged a man who they have in prison with kidnapping and just this week with murder. Found some of her clothes buried but not any part of her. It really has shaken up this quiet little community in Lancaster County.

Holly has been found! She was stuck in snow somewhere as I understand it. But now another woman is gone in the area:

I worry that my youngest daughter could be susceptible to someone. She seems to have little fear about traveling and strangers. I’ll definitely get her this book. Stay safe all... whatever precautions you need to take... your safety is number one!

And back on topic.....UPDATE:

It appears that the Missing Woman....owner of the Black Ford Transit van has been found Dead in the area.....from "Quartzsite Chatter"

No additional information..............

Regarding the woman in the black transit. She was never  one of the "missing women". She did not go missing at all.

She was with friends the night before habing an enjoyable evening and was found dead in her own bed the next day.

One of my good friends died at Q, doing what she loved.

Does this mean she was killed by a stranger?

Reality check. The crime statistics are somthing that is tracked. Of course not all crimes get reported but it stlll gives a general idea of your overall safety in a geographic area.​

Unfofrtunately it is not always reported when someone turns up safe.

it should be noted that many so called missing "reports" are simply ploys to locate someone...in particular an angry spouse.

If the missing notice is not from a law enforcement agency do not respond to it. You very well could be leading an abuser right back to his/her victim.

Reach out to the person you believe to be "missing" and confirm before calling some stranger and informing them of locations.

People go " missing" for any number of reasons.. very few of which are criminal in nature and when that is the case you should ONLY be reaching out to Law Enforcement... not somebody's "concerened relative".

I plan to go " missing" from the radar of many people I know and barely tolerate.. doesn't mean I've been victimized.

There are 10s of thousands of people seeking to escape a dangerous, toxic environment... do not think your the lone ranger in the wilds rescuing people... let the authorities take care of the next step.

obviously i am referring to ADULTS that have a right to go missing for whatever reason.

Dont assume the person posting a notice has the "missings" best interest in mind.
