Has anyone put a lift kit on a town and country minivan? Need a few more inches for clearance for boondocking.

I answered on the other thread where you asked. short answer don't do it. highdesertranger

Agree with HDR. You will change the geometry and ruin the driveability on the paved roads. Not to mention buying tires often.

Best case for ground clearance:

-Remove any ground effects/steps if installed,
-Go with the tallest tires that fit in your wheel wells, preferably with a truck tread
-Add air assist springs to the coils to help minimize bottoming out

-Or get a different vehicle. Face it, minivans aren't for off-roading.

I know you said Town and Country but there are lift kits for Astros and you can get them in AWD.

A friend did a slight lift on a Promaster City. It was done by some offroading specialists. No complaints so far.

just because something is made doesn't mean it's a good idea. let me say this again, do not do a suspension lift on any independent suspension vehicle this goes double for a Front Wheel Drive or a 4WD with independent suspension. double no it again for a Uni-body vehicle. just don't do it. in the long run you will thank me if you take this advice. highdesertranger
