I wish I was a gear head some times! Instead I have a good case of the creatives which has me redesigning all the time.
Highdesertranger - I changed out all of my O2 sensors in my first 4 months!
I waffle back and forth on selling or keeping up my 1994. I didn't choose my van as I was outside the US and had a mechanic pick it out. It is a great van with great mpgs (braging now 17.9-18.3)
Being on a fixed income, with out a mechanic in my back pocket, and with no emergency fund. The past couple years has been financially challenging. ..perhaps I have done the majority of it now?
IMHO Simplicity is great.
My $900 original investment has served me very well and I have done a lot of learning as well as maintenance.
And sometimes we just keep wondering if life would be better on the other side of the street!
