The more processed and packaged it is, the more you spend. It is usually dramatic -- like 2 or 3x as much for the same food, or maybe inferior food. Sometimes 5x as much or more.

Better to get a knife and slice it on any old surface. Convenience is way over-rated and over-blown. And it is cripplingly expensive as a matter of course.

What's wrong with good old individual squeeze packets of mayo? No refrigeration needed and you can grab a few for free at restaurants.
