Hi everyone,

I want to introduce myself, as I am new to this forum. I joined because I want to be part of this great community and share knowledge, skills, and inspiration!

I had been thinking about living in a van for the last few months after stumbling across videos on Youtube of people doing this. A few weeks ago I bought a '94 Ford Econoline cutaway/cube van. I want to build something up from scratch; the back of this van is completely empty. I am going to be learning lots of new skills, as I haven't done anything like this before.

I'm very excited about my new project!

The first thing I will need to do is fix the leaks, and I will be seeking advice about the best way to do this. I'm going to start some Youtube videos to engage with people that way as well.

I look forward to reading people's posts and connecting with you on this forum!

Hi and welcome.

Interesting vehicle.   Have any pictures?  What are the dimensions of the box that will be lived in?

Hi and welcome!

I too have a cube van that I am in the process of building.
I had some roof leaks, metal sheets with leaking overlapping seams, pop rivets with the tell tale hole.

I found Geocell Proflex to work really well for me.

Hi there,

Thanks for your interest. Here are some pics. I don't have the inside box dimensions, but the whole vehicle is 26' long, 8' wide, and 10' high. Should be just right for what I have in mind!

Hi, and thanks for the welcome!

I like your van. It looks similar to mine. I'd be interested to see what you do with it. Maybe I can get some ideas. Good to know how you fixed your leaks. This is my biggest concern right now. Good luck with your build!
